| Manasota Key FL is a long slender, north to south barrier island directly off the coast of the Cape Haze FL peninsula. Manasota Key is separated from the mainland by the Lemon Bay intracoastal which is an aquatic preserve filed with abundant fishing opportunities and enlivened by exotic tropical birds. Beach Road cuts straight through the middle of the key and is often swamped in dense tropical foliage including palms, mangroves and sea grape. Spacious Florida style homes with private beaches and endless Gulf water views are hidden all along the key. About 1/2 of Manasota Key is public the other half holds private estates that are accessed only via an electronic gateway. | |
